Striped Seagrass Basket

Practical and durable, this basket is made from seagrass which grows naturally in abundance in the natural low-lying areas of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh government encourages the growth of the seagrass as it plays an important part in stabilising the soil, and protecting the land from flooding. This one has won a national environmental award for using this very important plant!
